ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Raven Pelan has dedicated her professional career to unraveling the science of longevity.

With a strong foundation in Exercise Physiology and Nutritional Science from Stanford, along with certification in Functional Medicine Coaching, Raven offers a comprehensive approach to wellness. Her expertise extends beyond traditional academia, as she has also studied organic farming and raw food preparation at the Ann Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico.

Raven's journey is marked by a deep exploration of global wellness traditions. In the jungles of Thailand, she immersed herself in the ancient wisdom of medicinal plants and witnessed the profound healing effects of meditation among Buddhist monks. Her two decades of study with Sri Siddhi Ma, a distinguished spiritual teacher from the Himalayas, have profoundly enriched her understanding of mindfulness in nutrition and physical movement.

“It is possible to slow down and potentially reverse sarcopenia, the age-related decline in muscle which begins around age 50. Though sarcopenia is a mighty foe, with specially designed isometric exercises you can build more muscle safely and effectively at any age. Muscle is the great fountain of youth!.”

Youthfulness regardless of chronological age.

In New York, Raven further expanded her expertise by becoming certified as a yoga therapist. This marked a pivotal moment in her career, as she went on to develop a groundbreaking Mindful Breathing and Stress Reduction Program at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery. This innovative program specifically targeted patients struggling with chronic pain stemming from orthopedic conditions.

Through her work, Raven identified a critical need for older adults to maintain strength, preserve function, and ensure mobility. In response, she pioneered a revolutionary fitness regimen designed specifically for seniors, focusing on safe and effective strength-building techniques.

Raven's dedication to her practice knows no bounds, extending beyond physical locations. She operates a thriving practice in New York City, offering both in-person sessions and virtual classes via Zoom, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of clients
